I use to bird Rio Rico all the time and, though it's probably too late now, I have seen the Swainson's Hawks gather in the ag. fields in early October by the hundreds! There are pictures of them on my other Sycamore Canyon blog. What a wonderful sighting! Great photo too! J E A L O U S !!!!!!!! :-) Happy for you though!Kathie Brownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10377224759599266209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1559529787733687089.post-54526632713022422162011-10-12T06:06:52.490-07:002011-10-12T06:06:52.490-07:00Man that is a cool-looking bird...Man that is a cool-looking bird...Jen Sanfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08932953314258705622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1559529787733687089.post-56608967907805325332011-10-10T07:13:23.650-07:002011-10-10T07:13:23.650-07:00Very cool! I don't have that bird on my life list yet, but when I was very new into birding I believe I saw one at Phon D Sutton recreational area, north east of Mesa, AZ. I remember seeing that color dart into the reeds and can't think of any other bird it could have been. I wish I could go back with my several years of birding experience now under my belt.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11333731452974780237noreply@blogger.com
